Sanskrit word Naman means, “A name, personal name”. To address or call upon by name.
“Naaman (Nāman) or name is a word of common occurance in the Sanskrit literature”.
Namkaran Sanskar is the ‘naming ceremony’.

When a Pooja for Naming ceremony (Namkaran Samskar) occurs usually?
Which Pooja occurs before the Naming ceremony?
What is Punyahavachanam, Shuddhikaranam, Samprokshanam?

Pooja is done (Prayers are being performed).
a) As per ‘community’s customs & ritual following day’.
 or
b) ‘On an auspicious day’. On a particular day.
c) Punyahavachanam, Shuddhikaranam or Samprokshanam poojas are being performed.

When and which are the Sindhi Chhathi Pooja (prayer) days?

1. Prayer (Naming Pooja Ceremony) is being performed on 11^th day after birth of child.
2. Also Chhathi Ceremony (Horoscope) prayers are being performed after checking ‘related details’.
3. ‘Chhath’ is the 6^th ‘sixth’. It is the ‘sixth day after birth of a child’.
4. ‘Chhathi means a horoscope. Name is given in that on the day sixth’.
   
5. Giving the naamaa-akshara (Nakshatra or Rashi ‘Giving Name initial to a baby’.)
6. The 1^st point (related 11^th day Naming prayers. Firstly, it’s traditionally being done on the 11^th It also depends when the puja is being done on any other given day than the 11^th day, such as 21^st day or 40^th day or as per ones following).
