What is the significance of the Akshaya Tritiya tithi अक्षय तृतीया तिथी?
Akshaya is never finishing, never diminishing.
Trittiyaa is the Teej tithi (lunar the third day thithi).
It is also called Akha Teej (Aakhaa Teej) pious day.
It’s Among one of the Hindu Shubh Mahurata annually.
Yugaadi, Akshaya Tritityaa and Dassera-Vijay Dashami.
The Akshaya Trittiyaa tithi is the Annpuchha Muhuratham.
It is the day of divinity, dedicated particular to Lakshmi Narayan.
It is the most auspicious holy day for the weddings, ring ceremonies,
new house (house warming), Vaastu puja, new shops, new offices, factories,
buying gold, buying or performing prayers of vehicles (car, ship, boat & other vahan), Janyaa puja,
thread ceremony (yagyopavitam – janoi – munja) & any other auspicious work (shubh, maangalik-kaarya).

This pious lunar tithi day tritiya is also day for japa-tap-saadhana ones elevation (physical, mental & spiritual).
Being tithi of highly exalted, it marks the day in particular to Vishnu. Also towards Parshuram, Annapurna & others.
One of the incarnation of Lord Vishnu Parashuram Jayanti also occurs on same tithi based on duration of ‘tithi niranaya’.
And according, based on the tithi niranaya (decision making of it, Parshuram Jayanti sometimes might fall on earlier day).

Sanskrit word Akshaya Trittiya is called : in Sindhi Akhan Teej and Maarvaari Aakhaa Teej.
The Sindhi community traditionally distributes water, matkaa, arrange wells and pankho, vinjni (manual fans) & daan.
The Rajasthanis also treat (Anpuchh-muhurat) it and perform prayers, pious deeds and give away daan to the Brahmins.
